Barnhoppers creator and furniture designer Melisa Cisneros has been selling her recycled barnwood creations on E-Bay since 2012. Cisneros said her custom-made tables and home furnishings have been a real hit with a 100 percent positive rating on E-bay.

In March of 2021, Cisneros partnered with Fernanda Bray and opened ‘Barnhoppers’ in Mariposa, located at the Stage Stop building complex on Highway 140. Bray was looking for new opportunities during the covid shutdowns and loved the idea of opening the store in Mariposa with her friend Cisneros.  Now, one year later, Bray said, “customers love stopping by and seeing what’s new in the store, and purchasing one-of-a-kind items.”

The quant little store is stuffed with affordable creations such as decor for the home, handmade jewelry, baskets, recycled barnwood wall art, succulent plants, and more. Due to a lack of space inside the store, tables and other larger one-of-a-kind furnishings can be found on the eBay store site at

Barnhoppers is having a special basket sale that runs April 10 -16, just in time for Easter.  “We will also have a booth at the Butterfly Days Festival and are really looking forward to seeing everyone at the event,” Bray added.

Barnhoppers, located at 5099 Highway 140 in Mariposa, is open Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Bray invites the public to visit Barnhoppers Mariposa on Facebook and Instagram to see new items and sales.
