The Lady Grizzly varsity softball team throttled the visiting Delhi Hawks yesterday, 12-0, as Seniors Khily Brower, Anne Fiester, Megan Harris, Nicole Long and Charity Noel played in their last home league game for MCHS. This was also the last home Southern League game for head coach Tony Williams who has been at the helm since 2012.

MCHS captured the win over the Hawks with ease and with class.  The Grizzlies dominated from start to finish both on offense and defense in the five-inning run-rule game.

Coach Williams was able to assure that his seniors got quality playing time, that all of his players had at least one at bat, that each player enjoyed the game, and also stayed focused on playing sound softball as they ready for undefeated Orestimba on Friday at the Warriors diamond.

All the seniors and coach Willaims walked hand-in-hand for their last trip around the bases together; finishing at third base where the players met up with their parents for the final celebration and recognition.
